Bout 010 (Video/Action): Badges upon badges. (backdated to Tue. 6/14)

[The video opens in medias res, with a casual conversation going on in the Olivine Pokémon Center. It's not quite loud enough to hear any of the words, though. After a second or two, Chie orients the video on herself.]

Oh, hey, has anybody else noticed how the gym leaders are a little... weird? Me and my friends all challenged Jasmine today, so we could get the Surf TM and cross Route... 42, I think it was? And Jasmine gave us all the same lines from beginning to end. She was all like, "Properly tempered steel won't be made rusty by things like this!" And "You are a better trainer than me, in both skill and kindness." Like she was reading off a script or something!

But anyway, we all made it! I got Ecruteak's badge too, when we stopped there on Friday, so I'm up to four! [Chie shows off two badges to the camera.]

For anybody who's following our quest to rescue Souji-kun, we're leaving first thing tomorrow morning on the way back to Ecruteak. And from there, it's through Mahogany and on to the Ice Path! Just hold on, Souji-kun, we won't make you wait too much longer!

Nothing quite as inspirational as opening up a head and taking a look at what's inside.

More or less. Though I guess the rush is making the 'figuring out if we do, indeed, get along' part a bit difficult.

I suppose that would be one way to do it.

Breathing, for starters. And figuring out creative ways to avoid falling from the back of a purple, flaming horse.

You could always use the interior of the head for its traditional purpose, but I suppose that might be a bit boring.

...I don't think Rapidash would look very good in purple.

Only a tad. Oshitari, I thought you knew better than to bring up things that aren't fun at all.

They do say desperate times call for desperate measures. Or at least a good helping of Ditto.

A Ditto would be a good solution to a great number of problems, really. Particularly since Niou seems to have rather...creative uses for his.

Ah, a method of reverse psychology? How tricky.

His is in a separate category of its own, really. It's that ditto that every old ditto looks back at with fondness and every young ditto aspires to be.

Trickery is another fun usage of it.

All the Ditto that are inclined toward vaguely criminal activites, at least.

There exists a ditto that isn't?

Oh, I'm sure somewhere there's one lone Ditto, an angel amongst demons, who wants nothing more than to transform into nice cute objects that make people happy. But it's horribly misunderstood and shunned by its Ditto brethren, so one day it set out on a quest to find the perfect trainer...

Only to be caught by a merciless breeder who only wished to capture it for breeding purposes! Day and night, the ditto stares balefully out from its small enclosed cage as it watches others ditto roam free and wild. And one day...

One day it decides to escape, using its wit and cleverness. So it concocts a Plan~

A daring plan that involves three cups of coffee, seventeen toothpicks and a spatula, if I may add. Very enterprising.

Yes, indeed~ And with this ingenius plan, it escapes the evil breeder, quite possibly terrorizing said breeder with the spatula in the process, and resumes its journey once again.

With some work, perhaps. The real trick would be making it rhyme.
