[The video opens to Chie's face, looking pensive for a few seconds... and then that pensive look is replaced with a big grin.] There we go! Hey, everyone! Sorry I've been so quiet, but my Pokégear got kind of, ah, busted after I left Cherrygrove. And then when I got to Violet, the snow trapped me in the Pokémon Center... But I finally got over to the market today to get it fixed up, so here I am!

Me and Bruce are doing alright! [Upon hearing his name, Chie's Tyrogue hops up to get his face briefly in the feed. Chie chuckles.] We've been getting along a lot better since I worked things out with him! As long as he knows he's gonna get his training eventually, he can manage to be patient. He's doing great! Level 17 already! He hasn't learned any new moves yet, though...

Well, anyway, I got done with today's part-time work, so me and him are heading out to do some more training! I may try to catch one of those Snovers people've been talking about. My family doesn't make a big deal out of Christmas or anything, but it could be fun to do a little decorating. If anybody in Violet wants to come join us, we'll be at the exit to Route 32! [Click.]

I've only been able to go out and train since I have a reliable fire-type at my side, so it's really impressive that you're going out while it's still piled up this high! I'd tell you to be careful about the weather in general, but if you haven't got sick yet, you must have things under control.

Heh, what can I say? I'm dedicated! And the cold doesn't bother me as much as it does some people. [A benefit of having a Persona that nulls Ice attacks, perhaps?]

--eh? Really? I wish I had that ability... I would have got a really bad cold by now if not for Hina keeping me warm when I headed outside.

Hina's your fire Pokémon, then? Yeah, it probably helps that I try not to stop moving. And I managed to pick up some winter wear in Violet! The stuff "mom" gave me wasn't really... anything I'd wear outside.

Mm, she's my Arcanine! She's been with me since day one... *nodding a bit* Mmm... It's good that you bought some appropriate clothing. I... didn't exactly get anything I'd ever wear from 'mom'' either...

Oh, she's your starter, huh? How long have you been here? ...Yeah, it's not bad, it's just... Well, it's more gym clothes than something I'd actually wear around.
